Cooler temperatures are now upon us for the Branson 2012-Fall
season. Good rains in the last few weeks have greened up the hills and the
Ozarks are beautiful. An early morning
road-trip through the hills will make a perfect start to your day in Branson
and the Ozarks.
It's time to check out festivals in the Ozarks where
music and food along with the brisk fall temperatures make festival going a fun
and relaxing time. You can check out some of the fall festivals in the area on
our fall-fest
page. I had hoped to have some
daytrip & roadtrip pages up for fall festival time but I still have some
work to do on these pages.
Silver Dollar City's National
Harvest Festival runs from September 13-October 27 and is a perfect place
to celebrate festival time in the Ozarks. Cowboy Poets, Western Stunt Shows,
Western Musicians, Visiting Craftsman and plenty of fall festive food is yours
to enjoy at this special place. Another special place is Downtown Branson where
the fall season kicks off September 13-15 with the Autumn Daze Arts &
Crafts Festival.
Branson 2012-Fall: Update
at Andy William's Moon River Theater
Andy has brought in a superb group of entertainers to
celebrate his 75th year of entertainment, so you may want to make some plans to
see one of these shows in the next few weeks. Andy continues to recuperate and
though he plans to perform during the Christmas season, the fall season may be
limited to short appearances with some of his guests if he is able. The Guest
schedule is:
Sept. 10-15: Debbie Reynolds with special guest Bob Anderson
Sept. 17-22: Frankie Avalon with special guest Bob Anderson
Sept. 24-29: Jack Jones with special guests Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis, Jr.
Oct. 1-6: The Osmonds
Oct. 8-13: Pat & Debby Boone
Oct. 15-20: Ray Stevens with special guests The Lennon Sisters
Oct. 22-24: Clint Black with special guest Paul Harris
Morning and Matinee shows during the fall at the Moon
River Theater include The Cat's Pajama's
Vocal Band and the Musical Tribute to Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons Oh What A Night. As always, Andy's Moon River Grill, (Where the Stars come
to eat) is open before and after the show.
Branson 2012-Fall: Roadtrip Rest Stops
Since the road-trip is our theme and our focus in the
coming months, we thought you might enjoy some roadtrip news about other parts
of our great country. I enjoy the rest stops and the various unique places to
be found on American roads so I wanted to share a interesting article from
carinsurance.org. This is their post of the 7 Best Road Trip Rest Stops in
America. Check it out at: link removed
Branson 2012-Fall: Dining
If you're like me, part of the attraction of vacation
time is the Dining. I find it interesting to learn what visitors and locals
alike think of the dining in these parts. For that reason our Branson 2012-Fall
edition wanted to highlight a blog about just that…dining. You'll find other
interesting information about family fun in Branson as well. Check out http://recipesforourdailybread.com/category/family-fun/missouri-branson/
for some fun info.
Branson 2012-Fall: Coupons & Discounts
We all like to save money, even while on vacation and
though Branson and the Ozarks is one of the least expensive vacation
destinations in America, we still want to find discounts when we can. On your
way to Branson and while in Branson, you'll find lots of places advertising
discounts. Most of these will be tied to time-share resorts or vacation clubs
and to receive the discounts requires attendance at a promotion of their place.
Now these can be great deals for some people while
offering some deep discounts if you check them out. Some visitor's though do
not want to go this route but would still like to take advantage of any other
discounts that are available. I want to share with you a website hosted by some
frequent visitors to Branson who have made it a point to find the best
discounts available-no strings attached. Go see what's available at http://www.bransoncouponsanddiscounts.com.
That's all for now. We'll be back with more news soon.
