Branson-LakeTaneycomo-RVParks feature access to great trout fishing. Lake Taneycomo became a cold water lake with the construction of Table Rock Dam which feeds the cool bottom waters from Table Rock Lake into Taneycomo.
The name comes from the combination of Taney County, MO. The lake has the characteristics of both a lake and a river since the water current flows fast when the Table Rock Dam generators are being used. While the water temperature is cold near the upper end toward Table Rock Dam it warms at the lower end as it gets closer to Powersite Dam near Forsyth. Many more species of fish are available as you get closer to Powersite Dam.
It is considered by many to be one of the premier trout lakes in the nation. Only flies and artificial lures may be used above Fall Creek, however none of the Branson-LakeTaneycomo-RVParks listed on this page will be in that area. A map of Lake Taneycomo can be accessed here:

Branson Lakeside RV Park is just south of Branson Landing past the bridges going to Hollister. There is a lot to do in this area and the campground is a favorite of those traveling in groups. A beautiful campground with fishing docks, a marina & boat ramp. You'll like this place.

Cooper Creek Resort & Campground is back in the woods on the banks of Lake Taneycomo and yet a five minute drive will have you on the strip. Cooper Creek is nestled in a peaceful, wooded lakeside setting on Lake Taneycomo.
At the intersection of Fall Creek Road and Hwy 76 (Dick Clark's American Bandstand Theater) go south on Fall Creek Road for just under 2 miles and turn left onto River Valley Road. Almost immediately you can turn left onto Cooper Creek Rd to enter the resort.

You will also cross the Hwy 65 Business Bridge just south of Branson Landing to get to Taneycomo Lakefront Resort & Campground. You will go left at the turnabout and follow Hwy 76 until it veers east. You will want to continue north on Lake Shore Drive (yield to Hwy 76 traffic headed west) to the resort. The resort is across the lake and slightly north of Branson Landing. This is a great fishing resort and is nice and secluded but within minutes of Branson activity

Turkey Creek RV Village is an Escapee member park. If you cross the Hwy 65 Business Bridge just south of Branson Landing, you will want to turn right from the turnabout. From there it is just a short distance and on your right right before crossing Turkey Creek Bridge. This is a quiet park that many will appreciate. It is on Turkey Creek that feeds into Lake Taneycomo so we still consider it as a Lake-Taneycomo Campground.
